I. Working Principle

Butterfly valve is based on the rotary valve open and close the valve, drive the disc plate rotation. In the cylindrical channel of the butterfly body, the disc rotates around the axis, mainly rotating the plate 90 degrees. Flow control disc reaches 90 degrees, the valve is completely open, you can change the angle of the valve to adjust the media flow. Usually installed in the direction of the diameter of the pipeline. Butterfly valve and valve stem itself has no locking function. A worm gear reducer is required for effective flow control. Butterfly valve with worm gear reducer can not only automatically lock the butterfly valve, but also change the working performance of the butterfly valve to adjust the medium flow more accurately.

Second, the characteristics

(1)Simple structure, small shape. Compact structure, short length, small volume, light weight, suitable for large diameter.

(2) Fluid resistance is small. When fully open, the valve channel effective flow area is large, fluid resistance is small.

(3)Open and close conveniently, quickly, good performance regulation, turn 90 degrees. It can be opened and closed. By changing the angle of rotation of the disc, the flow rate can be controlled in layers.

(4) The butterfly plate on both sides of the rotating shaft is basically the same as the medium, generating torque in the same direction, so the switching torque is small. On the contrary, opening and closing are easier.

(5) Low-pressure sealing performance is good, the sealing surface material is generally made of rubber and plastic, and the sealing performance is good. Butterfly valve is limited by the sealing ring material, the working pressure and working temperature range is low. But the hard seal butterfly valve has a great improvement in the working pressure and working temperature range.
